Enjoy the perfect location of our farmhouse in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park on your summer holiday in Fusch an der Großglocknerstraße. You can venture out from us from the doorstep into some contemplative walks in the valley, convivial hikes to alpine huts and challenging mountain tours in the high alpine terrain. We would recommend a hike to the Gleiwitzer hut, a destination that will reward you with a fabulous view over the Hohe Tauern. You can also explore the area on two wheels, and tackling the Großglockner High Alpine Road is a very special challenge.
The region has so much more to offer, including:
- Bad Fusch Kneipp facilities – 1 hour’s walk from the farmhouse
- Käfertal Kneipp facilities – can be reached via the Ferleiten toll both, 4 km away
- Ferleiten Wildlife Park- also 4 km from the farmhouse and a visit is highly recommended
- A drive on the Großglockner High Alpine Road is an experience in itself, and demonstrates the impressive landscape of the Hohe Tauern National Park
The nearby Lake Zell, the local swimming pool and the neighbouring village of Bruck will provide many opportunities for fun and refreshing coolness on your summer holiday in Fusch. The picturesque Lake Zell is not only ideal for swimming, but you can also enjoy boating, sailing and water skiing.
Golfers can enjoy a special kind of golf experience on the two 18-hole courses in the "Golf Alpin Resort".
Can we ski in the summer too?
Yes, you can! The perpetual ice of the Kitzsteinhorn allows you to ski for almost 10 months of the year. Enjoy the first powder snow descents in the autumn, and in spring you can carve your turns on some dreamy firn. All ski fans who would love winter to last all year long, will delight as they ski over the glacier on 40 km of perfectly prepared slopes!
